The Cobalt Shield is an accessory that negates knockback when you are damaged (meaning you won't fly back when you are hit by enemies) and adds 1 defense. It is found in the Dungeon. It is useful for fighting enemies near large drops, lava, or when using Rocket Boots as you can fly out of caves or Chasms without being knocked back. It can be combined with an Obsidian Skull to make the Obsidian Shield at a Tinkerer's Workshop.

- Since the Cobalt Shield removes knockback, it can be used in conjunction with Hermes Boots to run through enemies without losing speed.
- Despite its name, the Cobalt Shield is not part of the Cobalt Armor set and cannot be made with cobalt bars.
- If you cannot find this item, it is beneficial to use your Grappling Hook on the ground before slashing at an enemy. Securing you from moving.
